Walk pictures are up!

As promised I've uploaded some pictures of the walk. Pretty surprising its all within 30mins walk of where I live.

Other than that I've been revising.... revising.... and revising some more! Although it has to be said that today was a bit of a lazy day if I'm very honest.

Off to Jo's place in Wales for the weekend tomorrow =) And no I'm not taking any revision with me. A break is a break!

Hope to speak to you all sometime soon!

God bless,

Revision time again!

Its that boring time of year again when the sun is shining but I am stuck inside revising! =(  And for all of you in the same position I trust that the shock of me actually writing an entry will lighten up your day, well probably not but at least I tryed!

This morning I went for a rather interesting walk from home out towards a hill with a great view over Bristol.  Was amazing how wild an area you can get to on foot in half an hour, at one point I came across a deer in the middle of the path!  Next time I go I'll take a camera with me and get some pictures posted.  Hopefully that will be fairly soon as going for a walk is a good excuse for getting away from revision.

On Sunday I'll be going down to see Jo... best thing to be looking forward to at the mo!  Might even go for another picnic somewhere in the Devon countyside like last week when we went up on Dartmoor.  Windy and cold, but was still a good trip.

Hope everyone is well! Appologies for my long scilence.

God bless,

Best surprise ever! =D

Today is my 21st birthday. I expected the day to be fairly normal, other than lack of work and a lunchtime trip to the pub.... upon arriving at the pub.... there was Jo!!!! Completely unexpected, BEST SURPRISE EVER!!!! She brought presents and a meal for the two of us, made my day extremely special! I am now the proud owner of a 'proper' razor, a grand piano, a Bon Jovi album and a very nice home-made calendar. If you don't believe me about the piano, ask, and I'll show you it! ;-)

I had a party on saturday... went very well! Party games and party food... hmmm... chocolate cake! =) Speaking of chocolate Richard gave me 800g of it- that'll take some getting through! And a paper plane a day was given to me by Johan... a tear-off calendar with a difference.

A very Happy Birthday to Paul who shares my birthday by some strange coinsidence!

God bless,

That term went fast!

First term of third year has gone very quick... and it was indeed an enjoyable term. Not sure I got a lot of work done, but life is more than work so that doesn't matter too much. I'm sure you won't have to try too hard to guess why the term has been so enjoyable! ;-) Now I have four weeks of holiday. Lots of things to look forward to. For a start I'll be with Jo for almost a week =D , it will be good to introduce her to home and family. Then there's a practise/recording session with the band (www.deathdenied.com). Looks to be a rather intensive couple of days, the plan is to come out of it with several songs recorded and posted on the website. After that there's christmas and seeing the wider family.

Well its 24 hours till I'll be seeing Jo so there's a fair bit of packing, clearing up, keyboard practising, talking and sleeping to be done before then. And a boring CES lecture as well! It might be interesting, you never know with visiting lecturers. Still, with the subject of project management its unlikely to be too inspiring. So if you'll excuse me I had best be going off to uni.

A merry christmas and happy new year to all! Speak to you soon,

To play or not to play?

Wahey... It's Thursday!! I perhaps shouldn't be as happy as I am at the moment given that I have a report to write before tomorrow, but having just been reminded by Tom that the geotechnics lecture has been cancelled this afternoon I think I have a good reason. The other good reason to be happy is that it's less than 2 days till I can see Jo! =D Two weeks is a long time to be away from your girlfriend and a chance to be together is amazing! Hee hee!! Can't wait! =)

Tonight I'm meant to be playing clarinet at CU and now that the lecture has been cancelled there is a small chance I might be able to get the report done before then. However I would have to miss out on a sausage curry and wouldn't get much time with Jo online =( There is also a rather slim chance that I will have got the report done by then. Not sure I really want to let my CU band down though.... grrr... can't stand decisions like this! I'd best work as hard as I can on this report I think!

Hope you all have a great weekend whatever you are doing!

God bless, Geoff xx

Jo-jo! My girlfriend!! =D

Firstly, a big appology for not posting an entry for so long... but it does mean I've saved up lots to talk about!! =) The main exciting piece of news is that I've started going out with Jo!!! for two weeks now - and i haven't posted in all that time... my appologies!

This weekend was spent in Wales with guess who? Jo! Wahey!!! I went back to her house and met her parents, sister and adorable 2 year old niece. Was great to meet her family properly... its quite funny the number of people who said "You what?!?? You're going to meet her parents already????" Plenty of amazing home cooked food... hmmmm, chocolate!!, saw "Finding Nemo" for the first time all the way through, went for a nice walk, experienced the very best of Welsh weather, went to see some fireworks (hmmm, mud!) and above all had brilliant company!!! In short a very good weekend and tis sad that it had to end =( Still, lots to look forward to me thinks!!

And now its back to the grind-stone for another week... i think i'm starting to get the hang of the third year though... a project a day keeps the bordom away and generally threatens all your free time.... the one thing i'm gonna learn from this year is how to work fast... its a lesson i need to learn really!

I'm hungry! Time to get some food! Hope every one has a good week! Hope to speak to you soon... and hugs to everyone, especially one particular person! ;-)

Under 6 days and counting =D ...

Its been a busy week! Big projects are never a nice way to start off a new year at uni! There's the feeling of being chucked in a very deep pool with a few tiny pieces of wood to keep yourself up... but somehow I got through it. And next week is guess what... a little bit harder! Oh great! Hmmm... there is something amazing to look forward to on saturday though - I get to see Jo again!!!! =D

One think that's really been brought home to me this week is how important it is to trust God for everything. In lots of little things this week I've seen God answer prayers and keep me going even when I though I couldn't. He has taught me to trust Him for more major stuff as well. So even when really brilliant things happen I know I still need to pray and commit them to Him to guide me and those who I'm close to in the right direction... and the great thing is that I know God will answer those prayers!

So I hope everyone has a good week and look forward to speaking to you all, or even better, meeting you soon!

Geoff =) xx
